Washington, DC, USA – The World Bank, through the Competitive Industries and Innovation Program, is bringing together movers and shakers from all over the world in a high-level conference entitled “Making Growth Happen: Implementing Policies for Competitive Countries”. Running from October 16-17, the conference aims to consolidate and disseminate knowledge on strengthening industry competitiveness and innovation for rapid and sustained job creation.
National Competitiveness Council (NCC) Private Sector Co-Chairman Guillermo M. Luz is set to speak in a session on Public Inspiration for Private Innovation together with Nicholas Bloom, a Professor of Economics at the Stanford University, and John van Reenen, also a Professor of Economics and the Director of the Centre for Economic Performance at the London School of Economics.
